[Support Network] (Noun) – “the community around a person that gives them safety, belonging and the belief that they’re not alone.”
Behind every individual success is a network that shows up – family, mentors, friends and community. For us, it’s the people who stand beside us as we build Praxis Youth.
For young people leaving the justice system, that kind of network is often missing. Most return to unstable housing and the consequences are stark: over 80% will reoffend within 12 months. Without stable housing and a support network, the chances of finding work, engaging in education or simply staying on track drop sharply..
At Praxis Youth, we’re working to change that — starting with housing. We believe a safe home is more than just a roof; it’s the first step toward belonging, stability and community.
Real outcomes for young people require far more than just box ticking — they demand a fundamental, systemic shift in how we think about reintegration and post-release support.
